WWFC'S NEW CHARITY ANNOUNCED
By Ben Campbell
Wycombe Wanderers' new charity of the season will be SCANNAPPEAL.
The club's new partnership with the registered charity of 21 years will begin in July of 2008 and will run until the May of 2009, coinciding with the football season.
The money SCANNAPPEAL will raise will go towards buying new Cancer preventing equipment for Wycombe Hospital.
The seven million pounds the charity has already raised has bought a vast amount of equipment - which has been used by one in every seven people in the local population.
SCANNAPPEAL Director Amanda Martin said: "We are delighted to have been chosen. We are really looking forward to working with all the different teams at Adams Park and to hopefully raise as much money as possible to treat cancer in the local hospital.
"This is a huge opportunity for us. WWFC are at the heart of the community and logically this is a great tie-up for us."
