Defender Christon developed through the club's Centre of Excellence scheme as a youngster and has made a handful of first-team appearances after a string of impressive displays in the youth and reserve teams.
Lewis was rewarded with his first appearance for the senior team at Mansfield in February 2007, and started for the first time in the draw at Peterborough a month later.
However, the arrivals of David McCracken and Leon Johnson in the summer of 2007 pushed Lewis down the pecking order and he was limited to just a couple of appearances before joining Woking on loan in January 2008, and he later spent time on loan at AFC Wimbledon.
The youngster is contracted to the club until June 2008.
