Jamie Young is an Australian goalkeeper who joined the club in the summer of 2006 after being released by Premiership side Reading.
Despite being an Aussie by birth, he has represented England at U20 level thanks to his English parents, and enjoyed a successful 24-match loan spell with Rushden & Diamonds in Coca Cola League Two during the 2004/05 season.
He competed with Ricardo Batista for a place between the sticks in his first season and enjoyed frequent appearances during the Portuguese stopper's stints on international duty, and earned the number one jersey the following season before being sidelined with a serious knee injury.
However, Young returned to the first-team squad in January 2008 and writes a regular blog for the website in his spare time.
