TAYLOR LEFT WITH INJURY CONCERNS
By Ross Jeavons
Peter Taylor has revealed that key duo Scott McGleish and Mike Williamson are both doubtful for Saturday's curtain raiser against Morecambe.
Towering centre back 'Willo' could be forced to rest a sore knee, whilst last season's top scorer McGleish is still struggling from a hamstring strain picked up in the 2-1 win over Stevenage.
"Mike is feeling his knee a touch after playing 90 minutes against Oxford and playing at Chelmsford where the pitch was rock hard, we might not want to risk him," said Taylor.
"I will be very, very cautious about Scott too - you don't want to risk him and see him come off at half time. At the moment both of them are doubtful for Saturday."
Blues fans will perhaps be grateful for the apparent squad depth at Adams Park, as young gun Matt Phillips and new boy Lewis Hunt could both sit out the weekend with niggling injuries.
"I would say Matt is out for Saturday without a doubt, it's a thigh strain, Lewis could be another week away from fitness too so it looks like he could miss out too."
