As the only member of the Wanderers squad to taste play-off success, wwfc.com caught up with Blues striker Leon Knight to get his thoughts on the up coming games with Stockport:

"It's exciting times," he said. "It's all about preparation for play-off games and we want to go out and give our fans a show."

Leon is among a quartet of strikers at the club fighting for the two starting places up front when the Blues take on Stockport in the 1st leg of the play-off semi-final at Adams Park tomorrow evening.

And despite Paul Lambert adding a fourth striker in Delroy Facey to his striking options back in March, the ex-Chelsea man thinks that the increased competition can only help the squad as a whole.

He said: "As a striker you need the competition. It's better now we have four strikers who are competing for the two or three possible places.

"All of us are pushing for the places and we'll have to see what and who the gaffer decides to go with."

However, Knight did his chances no harm in Wanderers' previous game after he grabbed the decisive goal in the 2-1 win over Bradford City on Saturday at Adams Park.

Leon wasn't at the club when the Blues were beat 6-0 at Edgeley Park in December but he was involved when the two last met on the Bank Holiday in March. The game ended in a 0-0 draw and the Wanderers striker is expecting another tight affair on Sunday evening:

"We will go out there and play our game. The loss at Edgeley Park has gone and all we are concentrating on is this game.

"And when we played them at home it was a bit of a stalemate, but we will be going for a win as we always do.

"They are a good side but then again anyone in the play-offs is a good side. Whoever wants it more will win the game."

Yesterday wwfc.com spoke to winger Sergio Torres, and 'Serge's' team mate 'Knighty' echoes the Argentinean's comments about the fact the Blues' experience could prove vital in achieving a place in League One.

Leon said: "We've got both - the team spirit and the quality. Yes we have got some older players but that will help us as they can lend their invaluable experience in important situations.

"Winning the first game is vital. Being at home we can't sit back and we won't sit back. We have to go out and take the game to them."

Stockport boss Jim Gannon has been voicing his opinion to the media this week ahead of the clash and Leon has admitted Gannon is allowed to say what he wants but has warned all previous meetings go out the window when the sides meet in Buckinghamshire.

"We are going to have to see what happens but I hope his side come prepared for Sunday, because we will be."
