HAIL THE BOUNCE-BACK KINGS

Wanderers added another chapter to their ever-expanding book of achievements this weekend by completing the season without losing back-to-back league matches for the first time since - you guessed it - Martin O'Neill's side of the 1994/95 campaign.
It's a remarkable effort from Paul Lambert's men who have shown fantastic consistency throughout the season and the ability to pick themselves up in the best possible manner after a defeat, winning eight and drawing four of the matches following a loss.
And Saturday's 2-1 win took the Wanderers to 78 points for the season - a feat which equals the club's all-time record in the Football League, held again by that team of the 1994/95 era. The club had already equalled the record for clean sheets in a single campaign after notching their 19th against Chester City two weeks ago, and also ensured that no team has done the 'double' over the Blues for the first time since 1995/96.
Individual records have also been smashed this season and Scott McGleish can take huge satisfaction in his 26 goals throughout the campaign, beating Sean Devine's tally of 25 in 1999/2000. Scotty has also become the first Wycombe player to appear in every league match in one season since Dannie Bulman and Darren Currie achieved the feat in 2000/2001.
Now the 34-year-old will be looking to score at least one more goal which would take him to the 200 mark for his career, and what better way to do it than against Stockport County in the play-offs. Coincidentally, it was the defeat at Stockport in December which rejuvenated the Wanderers team, who have picked up 51 points from the 27 games since that fateful day at Edgeley Park, and Paul Lambert's side will be looking to continue their excellent form of the last few months and march all the way to Wembley.
